Forms of Bequest
The following are examples of the type of simple language that may be used in your will or trust to make a bequest to Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. Designated Bequest (for named endowment): I give to Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, a nonprofit corporation located in Des Plaines, Illinois, ____________ (fill in a percentage of your estate or a certain sum of dollars). I further direct that it shall be placed in Lutheran Social Services of Illinois’ endowment to be used pursuant to The (Name) Endowed Fund as set forth by a Gift Agreement executed between me and Lutheran Social Services of Illinois and which is incorporated by reference into this document.
