Women will have the single greatest impact on the future of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. Both current and estate gifts from women will transform lives for generations to come, just like their gifts always have. The past is prologue. Consider Mary E.B. Shippert’s generosity in 1903. During daily visits to the hospital to see her sick son, Mary witnessed the plight of a young child all alone—which motivated her to make a gift of property for the establishment of an orphan’s home in Nachusa, Illinois. This program, Nachusa Lutheran Home, thrives today thanks to her vision!

LSSI has transformed lives for 150 years—and in order to continue to do so, we need women to stand with us. Women who love LSSI and wish to build upon Mary Shippert’s legacy must faithfully and prayerfully make decisions to remember our ministry through their estate and financial plans. My staff and I stand willing to help.

Your gifts will make all the difference in the world.

Peace and prayers,
